Gracie is an emotive 11 minute social drama, which follows the experience of an elderly dementia patient longing to return home to her native soil in Jamaica. And her Grandson’s attempt to make this a reality. StarringvAngela Wynter, Rakie Ayola (Dredd, Now is Good), and Kate Dickie (BAFTA Winner- Red Road, Game of Thrones, Prometheus), Gracie is a powerful piece, which explores memory and belonging, using dementia not just as a topic, but also as a thematic lens through which an elderly lady’s experience is explored.
‘Gracie’ is an award-winning short film starring Angela Wynter (Eastenders), Rakie Ayola (Dredd, Now Is Good), Kate Dickie (The Witch, Game Of Thrones) and Rochelle Neil (Episodes).
Longline: With dementia taking a hold, an ageing Jamaican lady dwells on sad incidents from her past, until her grandson recreates a happier present for her.
